Single outdoor meeting within the “Mobilization for Monitoring” project funded Foundation „Representation of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation” in the Republic of Moldova from the resources provided by the European Union and the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany. Civic activists, representatives of initiative groups learned from IDIS Viitorul expert Diana Enachi about open data, and how this data can be used as a tool to prevent corruption. President of NGO „Association for Human Rights Lex XXI” stressed the importance of mobilizing civil society at the local level to monitor the activity of local public administration at the local level.
Diana Enachi spoke about transparency, presented as a good practice the form in which the community budget is available to citizens by Cimișlia City Hall and the data available in the field of public procurement presented by Bălți City Hall.
The expert emphasized the importance of publishing the data by the local and central public administration in an accessible form, easy to understand, visible to the ordinary citizen.
A very discussed moment was the subject of public patrimony. The beneficiaries studied the register on the page of the Public Property Agency, the number of municipal enterprises, the revenues and debts of the enterprises, their reports on the page of Balti City Hall.
