Do you want to know what your money is spent on? Do you want it to be spent rationally and based on our interests? What decisions are taken by the ones that have been elected by us, and how can we take part in this process?
Citizens of the Balti Municipality and the Singerei Region discussed these and many other themes at the training organized by the “Association for Human Rights Lex XXI” on February 29th in the conference hall of the Vispas Hotel. Participants expanded their knowledge about the legislative framework regarding the structure, functions, powers and responsibilities of local public authorities, access to information, the legality of public property, and shared their real experience in monitoring and participating in the decision-making process by local authorities. During the training, we once again became convinced that transparency is the cornerstone of the effective management of public property, because it provides the ability to control the process of decision-making and implementation at all stages.
The training was organized within the project “Mobilize for Monitoring”, implemented by “Association for Human Rights Lex XXI” with financial support from the “Representation of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation” in the Republic of Moldova from resources provided by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany.
